Lesson 1 The Human Body
Question 1. What do you know about
the human body?
Answer—The human body is a machine.
For the machine to work properly, it is very important that all its parts work
properly. If there is any malfunction in even one of the functioning systems of
the body, then its effect is on the whole body and the person becomes sick.
Knowing about the body is very important to keep the body healthy.
Question 2. To understand the human
body, the body is divided into which two parts?
To understand the post-human body it is
divided into two parts
(1) Physiological structure.
(2) Physical actions.
Question 3. How many bones are there in
total in the body?
Answer- There are total 206 bones in the
body.
Question 4. What are the main organs of
the circulatory system?
Answer- The heart, arteries, veins and
cells are the main parts of the circulatory system.
Question 5. What do you know about the
senses?
Answer- Sense organs: This system includes
eyes, nose, ears, tongue and skin. With which we get information about our
surroundings and environmental changes. With eyes we can see any object. We can
understand the difference between a good smell and a bad smell by smelling it
with the nose. With ears we can hear. The tongue tells us about the taste of
any food or drink. The skin gives us the sensation of touch and warmth. These
senses are directly related to our brain.
Question 6. What is the importance of the
excretory system in the human body?
Answer – Excretory system: Only a part of
the food we eat is usable by the body and the rest of the food is left in the
body as waste material. It is very important to remove these substances from
the body otherwise many diseases may occur in the body. The excretory system
works to remove these excess substances from the body. The skin and kidneys are
the main organs of this system that remove waste products from the body in the
form of sweat and urine.
Question 7. What are the main functions of
the body structure?
The human body has several important organs. Like heart, lungs,
kidneys etc. which play an important role in keeping human alive. Just like
these organs, the body structures also have many important functions. like-
1. Protection— There are many critical
organs in the human body. Like heart, lungs and brain etc. Even a slight injury
to these organs can prove life-threatening for a human being. Our body structure protects these delicate
organs from injury by covering them with bones. Like the skull Protects bones,
brain, ribs, heart and lungs.
2. Shape— Physiological structure gives
shape to our body. If the bones do not join together to form a structure, then
our body is only A lump of flesh will be visible and will have no shape.
3. Movement- All movements in our body are
possible only because of our physical structure. The muscles in the body are
connected to the physical structure. The contraction and expansion of muscles
creates movement in the bones through which we perform actions such as walking,
running, jumping.
4. Mineral storage- The bones of our body
also act as mineral storage. Bones store a lot of calcium and phosphorus.
Calcium and other minerals are required for physical growth and development,
for which we must eat a balanced diet. Even if there is a deficiency of
essential elements in our body, our bones will make up for the lack of
elements.
