Lesson 2 Physical capacity and the benefits of exercise
Question 1. What is meant by physical
capacity? Define physical fitness?
Ans- Physical capacity is the quality
of the body with which a person can perform his daily tasks easily without
difficulty.
In other words, the ability of a
person to perform maximum physical work is called physical capacity.
Question 2. Write the names of the
qualities of physical ability?
Answer- Names of physical ability
qualities :- Strength, Flexibility, Stamina, Coordination, Speed
Question 3. What is called speed?
Answer - Speed: One of the attributes
of physical ability is speed. The ability to complete a task in the least
amount of time is called speed.
Question 4. What is meant by
coordination? What is the importance of coordination for the player?
Answer-Coordination: Coordination means the interrelationship between the player's mind and body. If the body receives the commands given by the player's mind correctly and executes them quickly, there will be no mistakes in the work to be done. It is not possible to do any work without the coordination of mind and body.
Question 5. Write a detailed note on the importance of physical fitness?
Answer- The importance of physical
capacity is as follows:
1. Physiological capacity enables
human body systems to function properly. Our muscles are able to work harder
and we can do more.
2. A physically fit person has less
fear of heart and lung related diseases like high blood pressure, heart attack,
respiratory disease, asthma etc.
3. A person with physical ability has
a beautiful and healthy body. His body also has proper growth and development.
4. Physical capacity maintains control over one's own body. His mind and muscle coordination improves.
Question 6. What is meant by
exercise? Write the benefits of exercise?
Ans- The basic human skills are
walking, running, jumping etc. In daily life, human beings use these skills
repeatedly and with them, human beings are naturally exercised. Sometimes
vigorous and rapid actions are performed to improve these skills, these actions
are called exercise.
Some of the benefits of exercise for
the body are as follows—
1. Exercising makes the muscles of the body strong and flexible, thereby increasing the physical capacity of a person.
2. Lungs have to contract and expand
forcefully during exercise. High carbon content with rapid shrinkage and
expansion Dioxide (CO,) is released from the body and more oxygen (0) from
outside is drawn into the body. With this action Blood is purified in the body
and lung power increases.
3. Daily exercise makes the heart
healthy. The working capacity of the heart increases and the blood flow becomes
stronger, A person who exercises are reduces the chances of having a heart
attack.
4. Exercising improves him on time a
person's digestive system. It seems, the food is properly digested and the New
blood is formed in the body
5. Exercising generates heat in the
body which makes the body sweat. Sweating removes the impurities from the body.
This cleans the skin and keeps the body healthy.
6. Exercising improves physical
structure and relieves joint pain.
7. Exercising builds new cells and
new blood in the body. The number of white blood cells present in the blood
increases and the body is able to fight diseases.
8. A person who exercises does not
age quickly and remains physically and mentally healthy.
9. If he spends his free time playing
in the playground or exercising, his health will also be good and he will be
free from wrong thoughts.
10. Exercising destroys excess body
fat which makes one's body healthy, agile and beautiful.
